THE LADY BEHIND THE SALON
Michelle Williams began her career with Carlton Hair, a leading hair salon group in South Africa.
In 2005 she moved to Perth, where she launched The Salon on The Boulevard in City Beach and three years later, The Salon on Asquith in Mount Claremont. Michelle believes in developing relationships with each client by understanding their needs and lifestyle and helping them achieve a look that is personal and sustainable.
She instils this philosophy in her team, who work hard to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for each of their clients.
Michelle is an advocate for regular training to maintain a high standard throughout the business and says, “I believe that with the best training and the right opportunities, every hairdresser can have a bright future.”

Bertina Bernard
“QUEEN B” & PARTNER IN THE SALON
Bertina (“Queen B”) is a partner in The Salon and the resident Beauty Therapist. She is incredibly passionate about skincare!
Bertina has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years and has been part of The Salon family for 13 years! She has since become a partner in the business. She is very passionate about her work and loves walking the skincare journey with clients.
In her down time, Bertina loves reading, a good series to binge watch, spending time with family, and making people laugh.
Fun fact: Bertina played the piano and violin since she was a young girl for over 17 years. Although she doesn’t play anymore, there is a creative inside!

CARMEN
Senior Hairstylist
Carmen is an all-round stylist and The Salon’s longest standing senior hair stylist.
She looks forward to every day at the salon, catching up with new and old clients. They feel like family! Carmen’s greatest satisfaction is seeing her clients walk out the salon happy and confident.
DEB
Senior Hairstylist
Deb has had a passion for hair since a young age and has been hairdressing for over 20 years. She is a brilliant all-round stylist with a knack for precision cutting.
Deb has been in Perth for 20 years, leading an active life with time spent at the gym and outdoors for long walks. Down time is also filled with cooking, relaxing, watching a movie and seeing friends (who are like family).

HANNAH
Senior Hairstylist
Hannah is an all round stylist but in particular, she is an excellent colourist and blonde specialist. She is also a very experienced Hair Extension artist.
A tough young lady, Hannah moved to Perth at 15 years old and started her career at The Salon, now with us for almost 8 years. She’ll tell you we’re her extended family! Hannah is really passionate about her work. It’s all about making the client happy and creating a look they’ll love!
Outside of The Salon, Hannah loves a good book, being outdoors and surrounded by the bush.
MONICA
Senior Hairstylist
The Hair Extensions and Balayage queen.

Outside of Salon life, Monica loves painting, yoga and playing tennis. She is also a great believer of the universe.

Senior Hairstylist
Emily is an all-round senior hair stylist and hair extension specialist. She is incredibly attentive, hard working, and passionate about making her clients look and feel their best.
Emily enjoys her down time too, especially in the outdoors!
ANTHONY
Senior Hairstylist
Anthony specialises in Blonde techniques, colour and styling. He is experienced in ladies and mens cutting so our gents are covered too.
With a family history in hair, he has learned that his art is a journey of self worth and transformation – a client can leave feeling good and valued when they leave your chair. Be a day changer!
GRACE
Junior Hair Stylist
Grace is a talented, all-round hair stylist with an exceptional level of attention to detail. She has had a passion for hair and beauty since a young age, with particular interest in styling and special occasion hair. She loves connecting with clients and making them feel their best!
When Grace is not working her magic on hair, she loves to relax at the beach, with friends or binge watch reality TV.
RHIANNAH
Junior Hair Stylist
Rhiannah has a lot of love for layered cuts, foil work, vivid fun colours. Red, purple, blue…you decide! She books both Ladies and Mens hair being trained in Mens cutting.
In Rhiannah’s free time, she loves binging series at home with her cat on her lap, or she’s out socialising with her friends.
